A hackathon is an event in which people come together to collaborate intensively over a short period of time on software projects.
Our hackathons keep the speechifying and admin to a bare minimum, and spend more time on development. We provide light snacks, fruit and drinks to keep blood sugar levels up, and often provide either a substantial lunch or dinner. You can work as late as 11.00pm on the first day, or head home a little earlier to catch up on some sleep.
There are small prizes, but mostly our participants do it because they get to use their valuable skills to make a real difference.

The safety and comfort of all our participants is very important to us. RHoK expects all participants to adhere to our code of conduct at our various events.
